People have spoken... well voted!

After voting there are two quilts that are strong options, one has 86% of the votes and the other has 67% of the votes.  I have listed (in no particular order) all the quilts that received a vote or votes.  Which one do you think is out in front?

Some project possibilities...

The other night at Challenge group we had a great discussion about the possibilities for our next challenge project for 2012.  I know, it is a little early but as you can imagine with seven members we have to find something we all like and think will be challenging... not that easy!  We have decided to use the next few months to investigate challenge quilt possibilities and obviously we will vote or magically just agree.  It hasn't been decided yet if we will add an additional challenge like the use of a mystery fat quarter but it is early days yet.

Here is the list the quilts (in no particular order) currently under consideration - please comment and let me know if there are any others...

An Angels Story - May

May has come around quickly but I am please to announce that I have finished my blocks a few days early...  I am a bit unsure how I am managing to be on top of the challenge this year - perhaps it is the list I created in January to chart my progress!  I might have to start working on another UFO while working on this Challenge Quilt to fill in the time.

An Angels Story - April

Month Three is done - but not without some headaches.  My sewing machine was serviced so I had to find time before the end of term to complete the machine part one night at Mum's house.  I have finally got my machine back - only a few replacement parts required given that I haven't had it serviced in over five years!  School holidays are here so I am going to complete my May block early and work on few other UFO projects.

An Angels Story - March

Second block is done!  A little late but thankfully it was due to machine malfunction rather than not getting the task done.  I just hope that month three is not held up due to the sewing machine being serviced...  Stay tuned!

Antique Flower Garden

I know I have been quite slack in writing my entries but between classes, correction and my new challenge project I have been a very busy quilter.  Antique Flower Garden is finally finished and I have to say the the completed quilt is gorgeous.  Kathy, my Mum, has quilted the top and what she has done is amazing.  I have included a few photos of my favourite blocks.  I had always intended that this quilt would replace one of the quilts hanging in my lounge room but now that it is finished I have discovered that it is too large for the wall... Oh well I'll just have to make another quilt for hanging!

Who are you?

Sorry that I have been missing for a while. I will return once I get through all my correction (why did I become an English teacher??)  In the meantime, who are you?
